Camera History

  1. Inside a dark room, they made a hole in the wall. The hole in the wall acted like a lens and projected the image.
  2. Isaac Newton and Christian Huygens invented the first high quality glass lens.
  3. Niepce created the first film which created the first modern camera.
  4. Light travels through the lens and through the camera and exposes the film.
  5. They capture images with an electronic sensor called CCD.
  6. Auto mode controls the flash and exposure and program mode you control the flash.
  7. Portrait mode will blur out the background to focus on the person and will use the fastest lens to do this.
  8. It's used to freeze motion and will use the highest shutter possible.
  9. When you use it it will have faster camera response time, more control over focus, and it encourages better composition.
  10. It means no flash or flash disabled. You can use natural light to create a more dramatic photo.
  11. It automatically uses the flash when the camera thinks more light is needed.
  12. Too much light will wash out the picture.
  13. Not enough light and the picture will be too dark.
  14. A Stop is a relative measurement of light.
  15. 1 Stop birghter
  16. 2 Stops brighter
  17. Longer shutter speeds will cause more light.
  18. Shorter shutter speeds will cause less light.
  19. The Aperture controls how much light comes into the camera.
  20. Opening the Aperture will let in more light
